Out and about in Norwich

Out and about in Norwich: I recently spent a sunny Saturday afternoon at the Marlpit Community Garden (MCG) open day - chatting to MCG members and sharing the delicious picnic lunch prepared from produce grown by them.

This is a great way for the community to reconnect with nature and produce fresh and organic fruit and vegetables. I hope more people start volunteering and help this initiative grow even more.

New Members are very welcome. If you live in Marlpit, Larkman or West Earlham and want a plot, go to the site on the first Saturday of the month between 10 am and 12 pm when you can choose a vacant plot. Norwich based school or community groups who are interested in the tailor-made garden plots - see the MCG website www.grow-our-own.co.uk
