Norfolk Tories vote to increase their allowance

I'm very disappointed to hear today that, at an extraordinary meeting prompted by Labour Group at Norfolk County Council and the Liberal Democrat group, the Tories on Norfolk County Council once again voted in favour of awarding themselves a 10.5% allowance increase.

It's shortsighted at best, but otherwise outright insulting, to think this is an appropriate move to make when big cuts to services are being considered. I hope the people of Norfolk will keep this in mind next time they get the opportunity to take to the ballot box and vote for their County Council representative.
