Mandatory vaccinations for NHS staff: my letter to Health Secretary
NHS workers, from cleaners to nurses, have been at the frontline of the Pandemic. Under extreme conditions, they have tried their best to keep our health service going, and delivered care under extreme conditions to those who need it. But in April, the Government could fire up to 73,000 NHS workers at a time when there is already a staffing crisis in the NHS.

I have written to Sajid Javid to ask whether he is considering a delay to the mandatory vaccination policy which could see tens of thousands of NHS staff fired. I have also asked whether more resources will be made available to deliver the kinds of programmes we know help increase vaccine uptake among people who are hesitant, such as educational and motivational action plans.
