Earlier this week, I spoke to ITV Anglia about the East of England Ambulance winter crisis.
I've already raised in parliament how an Ambulance Trust whistleblower revealed that at least 40 patients died or were harmed due to delays over Christmas and New Year. Following this, I've been pressing the Trust for answers as to why this happened so we can avoid such tragedies in the future.
However, it's not as straightforward as simply blaming Ambulance Trust management staff. Under this current Tory Government, the NHS is underfunded, underresourced and under severe strain. This needs to be addressed in order to see real change here.
